At Chickaree Mountain Danes, we are proud to breed full European lineage Great Danes from around the world, including Spain, Italy, France, Russia, Poland, Serbia and Croatia. We have also produced and kept from these same great bloodlines. All of our bloodlines have been selected from show quality Great Danes from around the world. Most of our dog's pedigrees are chalked full of champions, multi-champions, or world champions.
We have worked with many outstanding show breeders from around the world that has the same passion that we have for this breed. Please look around our website and learn why our breeding program is so special to us.
Our breeding program is focused on temperament, health, structure, and size. We health test our breeding dogs for Penn hips, heart, thyroid, and IMGD to ensure the best possible health for our puppies. We have owned Great Danes since 2001. Our very first Dane, Gracie taught us so much about this breed! We researched, observed, laughed and cried. She was bullheaded, sweet, naughty, loving, social, and very loyal. She passed when she was 10 years old. She grew up with our 3 children, but was never a mother herself. She took a huge piece of each of our hearts when she passed. It took us many many years to get another Dane and that is how our breeding program started.
We are committed to finding the best homes for our puppies. Our adoption process is thorough and includes a screening process to ensure that our puppies go to loving and responsible homes. We do require a phone conversation so if that isn't your cup of tea, then your home is not the right fit for our puppies.
